I Love Twitter
Whoo-hoo! You know how much I love Twitter? Well, I do and today I noticed that on one of my hubpages there was a little number indicating that 25 people have Tweeted the Hubpages to their followers.
Search Engine Optimization
This important vehicle to increase traffic to our Hubpages blogs can spread our stories far and wide.
Showing Appreciation and Thumbs Up
If you find our Hubpages worthy reading, then you will want to share with your friends and followers. In fact, it is a very nice way to Retweet, because instead of reading a tweet with a link, you read the article blog FIRST, make a judgement upon it's value, and THEN send it out by post to others. You are saying, "Hey, took a look at this! I just read this news and I think you should read it too."
Sure, we vote UP, click the useful, awesome, beautiful, interesting choices, but who goes that extra mile to post to FaceBook or Twitter?
Your Friendship Is Trusted
And, if you have been managing your Twitter profile properly, the people who follow you actually read your tweets once in a while and will take it for granted that you have something valuable you want to share with them personally.
My Twitter
I presently have over 13,000 followers on Twitter and whenever I have tweeted a friend's superior Hubpages, there have been numerous Retweets which may have added up to a potential of up to hundreds of thousands of new viewers, but realistically to maybe hundreds of additional views.
Rhymes With Twitter

flitter bird's wings
fritter days he sings
glitter celebrities follow some
hitter hits to number one
jitter coffee share a cup
knitter eyebrows don't pluck
litter basket no need
pitter patter trash weed
quitter never not I
sitter sat don't die
skitter round the chat

SOME EXAMPLES OF HUBPAGES TO TWITTER TWEETS
I just read Melanie's forum message regarding the sorry FaceBook and Twitter posts people have been making. They have not been well planned and thus, will not receive much response.
This section of the Hub provides a few examples of the kinds of TWEETS you can send out when you click the TWEET button and post a backlink from the microblogging website.
In this first example you can see the text within the 140 character parameters "Learning about Suicide in this Country" with the shortened URL, which gives Followers ample room to Retweet the message with plenty of room to spare for their own @Name
It is customary to adjust a long title and make it as interesting as possible in the tweet, so that others might actually want to view the blog.
You can make a statement, use a quote or ask a question.
You can add a hashtag to group it with similar type subjects or themes. In the example below I added #teen #compassion #epidemics And, maybe others searching for these words will find the tweet which leads to the blog.
You can see in the next image that 32 people clicked to view this link and 1 person reacted with a comment back to me. Kaz said that it was a scary subject, responding to 'Teen Suicide'
From there I could respond back to here and have a conversation, which might interest more people to go back in time, view the entire conversation and see the link reference
When you hover over the embed link in Twitter with your mouse you will see the link URL code pop up in the small yellow box
FRIENDS RT FRIENDS | MAKE A NEW FRIEND ON TWITTER
The next two illustrations are very similar. They show two more tweets that were sent about two hours apart with an interesting fact, some hashtags and a link back to hubpages.
And in the image above, you can see that the #gout article was of interest to someone who Retweeted it
Below you can see that same tweet and another person retweeted it. When you build up a big following, when some people have thousands, tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of followers, one Retweet can make a big impact on how many people may read your work.
NOW FOR THE REALLY FUN PART - GIVING TWITTER LOVE
How to Give #TwitterLove
Here is the demonstration of helping out your neighbor, your twitter partner, your Hubpages community, and Blogging friends when you Send a Tweet to Twitter with a backlink to their Blog.
The image below illustrates a link to a super Hubpages blog all about Twitter Tools. A pretty good interest piece for people already using Twitter.
You can see that heykim Retweeted the Tweet and then Juliespera retweet heykim
To realize the exponential effect this has on someone's blog, just look at how many followers both heykim and juliespera have together. This tells us the potential for increasing number of views and reads to the blog.
Look below and within the hour you can see a potential reach of 38,654 with 7 actual clicks and one response to Melanie's Twitter Blog entitled 9 Awesome Twitter Analytics & Statistics Tools

Thank you for sharing, etc.,

Hi, I must admit that I don't use my twitter account much, I should go on and use it not only for myself but help others out too, by reading your hub I see that it makes such a lot of sense, thanks!
Debby, Thank you so much!
Respectfully, and much appreciation and biggest bestest 2011/2012 wishes to you and yours,
Derdriu
I confess to being a twitter idiot and really don't know how to use it effectively. Thanks for the tips. It's so easy to retweet a good article - must do it more often. I'll do it now!
I'm still building my portfolio on social medias. But I do believe its power to transform our life. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I just loved the Rhymes With Twitter.
Although I'm not a heavy user (barely a 1000 followers), this has inspired me to become more active. Tweeted to my followers, hope a few come your way.
Great info, voted up and awesome.
I'm really not much of a social media hound, though I often tweet and post hubs I like on FB and Twitter. I just don't know how to use it effectively. I guess I'm lazy about learning since I spend most of my free time writing and reading about my own interests. Sounds shallow, doesn't it? Guess I really should start doing a bit more with my account. Voted up and useful!
I enjoyed the beautiful layout if your hub and the content. Twitter, like StumbleUpon can bring 100s and 1000s of visitors within minutes. This is a great explanation of how it occurs. Voted up! ;)

I just signed up on Twitter this week to begin promoting some of my hubs. I am currently watching a few to see if it helps. You certainly know a lot about Twitter...I never realized it had so much capability and flexibility. I will be a while learning all that! Thanks for sharing a very information piece. WB
