"The Gift Of Nothing" The Case For Homeopathy. There Is Something In It
70The Power Of Water and Homeopathy
Dr Samuel Hahnemann Quote
"Facts and experience must be at the root of all revelations of TRUTH.
If we take a single step outside the region of observation
we shall find ourselves in the infinite kingdom of fantasy and
of arbitrary assumptions, the parent of disastrous delusion
and of absolute nothingness."
Homeopathy | There Is Nothing In It!
You have heard this argument by skeptics of all persuasions.
They say, "There is nothing in it." This means that it won't hold water. Nope. It won't stand up to scrutiny. Like a cloud that appears solid as you look up into the sky, yet when you go up in an air balloon or an airplane you see that you cannot hold it as if something solid could be grasped with your hand.
It gets away from you the closer you look. When the road ahead appears slick with water during one of those days, as you drive closer and right upon that spot, it is no longer slick and shiny. Depending upon your relationship and position to this optical illusion, your perspective of this phenomena changes.
This does not mean the phenomena does not exist, nor that the clouds that wisp across the sky do not hold water. This idea blows away the skeptics for anyone who trusts their own physical intuitive senses. After visiting every kind of physician and undergoing every which kind of treatment their condition is no better and sometimes worse. Yet, after visiting with a homeopath and being prescribed an appropriately chosen homeopathic remedy, their problems disappear like the cloud crystals melting away in the blue sky.
The Argument Has No Legs To Stand Upon
To really understand this assumption you will have to read a two-part blog entitled "One: Was There Ever Nothing?" and "Two: Something" which can be found at everystudent dot com / journeys / nothing html and consecutively at everystudent dot com / journeys / something
When we examine the theory behind nothing and something in the universe, we find that the potential theory of an empty existence seems impossible. We may feel, "empty" or devoid of feeling, and still, this "expression" carries some weight, which is still something. Emptiness, when some thing is lacking or has left the space, leaves 'emptiness.' An oxymoron, a dilemma, but still inconceivable to our understanding. We shall examine the void of a vacuum in a moment.
Fiddler On The Roof - "Tradition" versus Innovation
How Can Less Produce More?
As time passes, what seems impossible becomes possible. What we can imagine becomes our reality. If skeptics live in nothingness, the void, with empty braincells, then that is their reality. Recently, the Italian cold fusion saga presented new data to substantiate theories about energy. [
Italian cold fusion saga continues with new papers releasedIf you read the links in "One" and "Two" you were introduced to the smashing of atoms idea in the fusion reactors. However, research from the University of Bologna confirms that much more energy comes out of a particular cold fusion reactor than is required to run itself. Bologna! How can it be? This flies in the face of E=MC2
This observation appears also in self-running mode with no radiation escaping from the machine. We have certain traditions that keeps us in balance. Throw those off kilter and it upsets the entire balance of our belief system.
- Buddy of Georgia, USA with Sterling D. Allan for Pure Energy Systems News (Source: Mauro Villa; Jan. 26, 2011).
Because innovation that outdate accepted theory or opinion, it takes time for the public, academies of study, or specialized groups to accept new ideas. Many more tests to prove the claims will most likely be undertaken. Italian inventor, Andrea Rossi, says he that a safe and reliable commercial cold fusion reactor capable of producing 10 kW of heat will go into production.
The results of two tests show that more energy was produced than was put into the system. Unbelievable!

Book Recommendation
I give two thumbs up to the book, "The Gift of Nothing." I've given this as a gift because 'the message' is what is transmitted. The matter, the paper and ink, is not the most important part of this gift. As in homeopathy, the information communicated, when a resonance between medicine and organism defines whether the action was actually "homeopathic" or not.

Nothingness Has Puzzled The Greatest Minds
Nothingness For eternity, the thought of "nothing" cannot really be conceived of, since no matter 'what' you think, it is always "something." Therefore, the idea that there can be 'nothing' in homeopathy falls flat on its face. A farce. A ploy. An attempt to malign, distort the truth and harm. For in reality, Homeopathy Heals! Those who've experienced it can be the ones to verify this truth. For those whom it does not work, they fall into another set of
Nothingness First published Thu Aug 28, 2003; substantive revision Thu Jan 8, 2009
Since metaphysics is the study of what exists, one might expect metaphysicians to have little to say about the limit case in which nothing exists. But ever since Parmenides in the fifth century BCE, there has been rich commentary on whether an empty world is possible, whether there are vacuums, and about the nature of privations and negation.
Warning Labels
Many in the Pharma Industry and the skeptics now say that Homeopathic remedies should have WARNING labels stating: no active ingredients. That otherwise the public will be mislead into choosing this form of medicine.
In over 200 years there have not been a need for this type of label. First of all, they can't have their cake and eat it too. If they claim there is "Nothing in it" then it will not cause any harm. Secondly, a drug or medicine is ONLY homeopathic when it is applied using homeopathic principles. When there is an 'ACTION,' and a relationship between the medicinal substance and the living organism. That, actually is a definition of a medicine.
Unfortunately, the pharmaceutical industry DOES CAUSE HARM with all the ACTIVE ingredients that IMPOSE a forced relationship upon the body. ALL of their DRUGS (legallized drug pushers) should have warning labels. In fact, they do! Those inserts you find with each package contain lists, and lists, and reams of so called "SIDE-EFFECTS." Plus, weekly, drugs are pulled from the market for the dangerous ACTIONS upon the body. The body does not have the power to withstand the onslaught of forced poisonings.
Whereas, using the minimal doses of homeopathic remedies, the body only resonates and reacts to a greater degree to those substances with which they are sensitive. This is a GOOD THING. Because this initiates the healing response. The secondary effect of the vital force to go into action to cure itself from this extremely mild artificial disease. The Theory of Relativity E=MC2
You know we are all related? Right! That makes us relatives in the family of humankind. We breath the same air on this planet. The molecules travel all around the globe moving through the plants, the earth, into our lungs and out again. Everything being filtered, transformed from one form into another, based upon the law of conservation of energy
In physics, mass–energy equivalence is the concept that the mass of a body is a measure of its energy content. In this concept the total internal energy E of a body at rest is equal to the product of its rest mass m and a suitable conversion factor to transform from units of mass to units of energy. If the body is not stationary relative to the observer then account must be made for relativistic effects where m is given by the relativistic mass and E the relativistic energy of the body. Albert Einstein proposed mass–energy equivalence in 1905 in one of his Annus Mirabilis papers entitled "Does the inertia of a body depend upon its energy-content?". The equivalence is described by the famous equation E=MC2 where E is energy, m is mass, and c is the speed of light in a vacuum. The formula is dimensionally consistent and does not depend on any specific system of measurement units. For example, in many systems of natural units, the speed (scalar) of light is set equal to 1 ('distance'/'time'), and the formula becomes the identity E = m'('distance'2/'time'2)'; hence the term "mass–energy equivalence".
Physicists also believe that observers can change the behavior of what is being observed through this relationship. Just observing changes the relativity aspect. This tells us that both skeptics and believers have an effect upon the outcome of any relationship. Both the relationship with each other, and the in relation to the acceptance of homeopathy.
An Empty Vessel Is Literally Impossible
A vacuum is a volume of space that is essentially empty of matter, such that its gaseous pressure is much less than atmospheric pressure. The word comes from the Latin term for "empty". A perfect vacuum would be one with no particles in it at all, which is impossible to achieve in practice. Physicists often discuss ideal test results that would occur in a perfect vacuum, which they simply call "vacuum" or "free space," and use the term partial vacuum to refer to real vacuum.
Skeptics attempt to use what they term 'facts' of science to back up their statements and beliefs. However, as stated in previous articles, they hold on to their own 'belief system,' denying any other information from entering into the pool of data. This way they manipulate the numbers. Skeptics do their best to undermine the believability of outcomes from homeopathic remedies by showing an ocean of water as the medium of dilution of energy. Yet, E=MC2 and matter retains its properties while its form may be transmuted. Our response should be one of AWE, as if we were watching a sunset or the expansiveness of the sky at night. To think that one tiny dot of water remedy could be so powerful.
We can't count the number of grains of sand or the stars in the sky, and because we don't understand precisely how the dilution and succussion of homeopathic remedies retain and transmit the healing properties, does not mean they don't. Simply using our powers of observation with our own senses we see a change. Therefore, some reaction occurs upon the introduction of the remedy. A true scientist would experiment again and again to test that Homeopathy Works!
We Don't Have Perfect Answers Because Everything In The World Is Dynamic
We strive for perfection, but we all know that does not exist. Even when speaking of a vacuum that approaches perfect emptiness. With all other factors equal, lower gas pressure means higher-quality vacuum. For example, your home vacuum cleaner produces enough suction to reduce air pressure by around 20%. Much higher-quality vacuums are possible. Ultra-high vacuum chambers, common in physics and engineering, operate below one trillionth (10-12) of atmospheric pressure, and can reach ≈100 particles/cm3. Outer space is an even higher-quality vacuum, with the equivalent of just a few hydrogen atoms per cubic meter on average. However, even if every single atom and particle could be removed from a volume, it would still not be "empty" due to vacuum fluctuations, dark energy, and other phenomena in quantum physics.
We Don't Have All The Answers, But That Doesn't Mean We Should Stop Searching For Them.
Theories about a "vacuum" have been debated since the ancient Greek , but was not studied empirically through observation until the 17th century. Evangelista Torricelli produced the first laboratory vacuum in 1643, and other experimental techniques were developed as a result of his theories of atmospheric pressure. A torricellian vacuum is created by filling a tall glass container closed at one end with mercury and then inverting the container into a bowl to contain the mercury. Each age will contribute further information and abilities to apply this knowledge as the debate continues.
We Don't Live In A Vacuum
Use of a vacuum became a valuable industrial tool in the 20th century with the introduction of incandescent light bulbs, which is about to go extinct, and vacuum tubes. How a vacuum impacts human health and other organisms has been observed and brought into question on recent spaceflight missions. We must never stop striving to push the boundaries of understanding. We must open the windows of our minds. We must use our God given senses to observe our world, each other and learn more about the laws of nature so we can live in harmony with the earth.

Unanswered Questions
For those who feel that I have created my own explanation of "The Theory Of Relativity," please note that the information comes from wikipedia. You may take it up with those authors.
For those know-it-alls, who believe they have all the answers to the mysteries of the universe, they may search the answer for "How many stars are there in the sky," on Ask Yahoo. In essence, the actual number is theoretically calculated. Are you going to start counting?
- The number of stars in the sky remains a great unknown. Discussing the number of stars in the Milky Way alone, astronomer William Keel, writing for the sci.astro Galaxies FAQ, claims that there are "about as many as the number of hamburgers sold by McDonald's."
- Then he elaborates. The usual way to determine the number of stars in the universe is to consider how many stars there are in the Milky Way, and then to multiply that number by our best guesstimate at the number of galaxies in the universe. This FAQ suggests there are probably about 400 billion stars in the Milky Way, although "a 50% error either way is quite plausible." As for the number of galaxies in the universe, well that's a whole separate mathematical puzzle.
- Other star enumerators we located on the Web offer numbers ranging from more than 200 billion stars in our galaxy to 3 thousand million billion stars (3 followed by 16 zeroes), in the universe. NASA alleges there are zillions of uncountable stars.

Very intriguing! I think there's something to it...
A very important concept to understand regarding homeopathy's seeming non-sciene is the social science concept of Cognitive Dissonance. This, simply stated, is the inability to absorb ideas that go against deeply held beliefs. In research it was shown that given information that was dissonant to a person's belief system--on any given issue--that person will deny what they see and hear, make excuses, and even get angry to shut out the information. Thus, we see doctors even deny life-threatening conditions such as cancer when they fail to heal the cancer but homeopathy does. These so-called scientists blatantly deny the very real evidence before them. If so-called scientifically trained people deny the facts on the ground, is it surprising that lay people fall for the same mythology and deny what they see. Even Darwin, a skeptic who was treated with great success by homeopathy, held onto his disbelief, so great was his belief system. He was in great discomfort and highly dysfunctional, thinking he was dying. Homeopathy brought him back to life, and he still resisted believing.
Well, belief in something does not necessarily make it true or not. But evidence of cure should certainly do it.
I remember clearly the first time I had an homeopathic remedy. In the middle of the afternoon I was on my bed suffering from sun stroke. This was not the first time and I knew from past history that the only way I could recover from it was to have a few glasses of water, but moreso just sleep it off and it will be gone the next morning.
An acquaintance who happened to have his homeopathy kit with him, saw my dilemma and gave me a little pill. In humor I took it believing it would fix nothing. 30 minutes later my splitting headache was gone. No paracetamol, no eight hours sleep. Just this little pill with 'nothing' in it.
Amazing!
Excellent article.
As an amature physicist, your explaination of Relativity seems out of kilter with what I have heard elsewhere, and confuses it with some aspects of quantum physics. Care to demistify me?
On a related note, the number of stars in the sky is, ironically, approximately 3 times ten to the twenty-third. (see http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=Number+of+sta
Truly, Debby, this is the most unintelligible nonsense I have read in a long time.
As for personal experience overriding the value of intensively collected information, seriously, you call yourself scientific?
I think skeptics should try it. Like Jewels who has put her money where her mouth is. It works. It's as simple as that. How can one argue a topic if they have no experience with the content?
Debby, you said a mouthful, and I mean that in the best way. I too am a believer in homeopathy, and pooh, pooh anyone that tries to tell me differently. Thanks for the very deep hub.
Hi Debby - that really is quite something! Thumbs up for anpother great article!
Great hub, voted up, awesome!

good information..modern science have to accept it
Thank you for writing such a fascinating and interesting hub.
I liked this..ty for sharing
Denialists/Pseudo-skeptics have no legs to stand. People have realised by now that are not just against homeopathy but all of the Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
Keep waving your arms, Debby, some people are almost distracted enough not to notice that this is just proof by assertion and completely ignores the fact that the fundamental tenets of homeopathy lack any credible evidential basis.

Now I can remember what it felt like to be in a physics class. I really believe in the efficacy of homeopathy, but being a layman, I'm going to let the ones who know what they are doing, do it for me.
